We are delighted to share with you our proposed store plans for Lidl Ballybough, in the heart of Dublin city.
Lidl, Ireland’s Most Reputable* Food Retailer, has proposed a new store along with a café and two retail units in Ballybough - the former Annesley Motors site – that will bring significant local investment of approx. €14 million.
The new, state-of-the-art store will create more than 30 new local jobs as well as supporting at least 150 more through the construction and development phases which Lidl hopes will be welcomed by the community.
The role of our local store has evolved significantly over the past year, and having recently been awarded the Best COVID-19 Response by a Retailer, Lidl has continued to be a solid resource for communities across Ireland throughout the pandemic providing high quality, fresh and locally sourced produce at market-leading value.

We are eager to hear the Ballybough community’s feedback on our proposed plans and what type of retail unit (e.g. pharmacy, barber/ hair salon) you would like to see in your area.
We will be hosting a virtual community briefing event at 11.00 am on Friday 12th March and you can log into the briefing via the WebEx details below:
