At Lidl we're proud to offer more Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers than any other retailer across the island of Ireland, supporting our commitment to protecting the environment as part of our Sustainability Strategy. Charge up and save big! From groceries to Electrical Vehicle chargers, we keep the prices low both inside and outside the store.
You can now make a contactless payment on your debit card or through our third-party website when using selected EV chargers in our stores.
A pre-auth of €50 (reserved on your account for up to 4 weeks) is required when paying through the third-party website or with a card.
If you wish to pay online to start your charge session, please tap the button below and follow the instructions. You will find the EVSEID printed on the EV charger, next to the charging cables.
Our D/C charging prices are only €0.50c/kWh, making us the cheapest Supermarket for EV Chargers*. Now available in 96 of our stores!
A/C Charging available for only €0.45c/kWh

Frequently Asked Questions
Roaming: if you have a third party e-mobility service provider who is part of the ChargePoint community, you may be able to use your third party account to charge at Lidl charge points. Check your third party e-mobility service provider for more information.
Through the website: Tap here. This will take you to our third-party website where you can pay by entering your card details.
Contactless card: tap your contactless card (Mastercard or Visa only; American Express is not accepted) on the card terminal and follow the instructions on the screen.
Before starting a charging session, we will hold a pre-authorisation amount to ensure you have sufficient funds to complete the charge. Once your charging session is finished, you will be charged the exact amount used, and receive an invoice. The pre-authorisation amount will be returned to your account in line with your bank processes. Contact your bank for any further information.
The charging time depends on the charge point you use, the current type and power output, as well as the capacity of your battery.
The existing parking Terms & Conditions displayed in the car park apply when charging your vehicle. Please check the signs before starting your charging process.
As the charge points are provided for all our customers to use during their shop, they operate on a first-come-first serve basis and cannot be reserved.
For charging processes completed using the website a copy of the receipt will be provided via email.
For charging sessions using card payment, scan the QR code on the payment terminal at the end of the charge session to receive a receipt.
For charging processes completed using a third-party e-mobility service provider, you will have to contact them directly for receipt as Lidl does not have access to this information.
