Meet our 2026 Lidl LGFA ambassadors
Carla Rowe - Dublin LGFA
Carla Rowe is the captain and star forward of the Dublin Senior Ladies football team. A former competitive gymnast, she attended Balscadden National School and cites Sonia O’Sullivan as her childhood sporting hero. Since making her senior inter-county debut in 2014 against Kildare, the Clann Mhuire clubwoman has become a six-time All-Ireland champion and five-time All-Star. Known for her elite leadership and clinical scoring, Carla balances her decorated sporting career with her professional role as a Secondary School Teacher.
Síofra O’Shea - Kerry LGFA
We are immensely proud to have Kerry sensation Síofra O’Shea as a Lidl LGFA Ambassador. A natural leader and a clinical finisher, Síofra’s 2025 season was one for the history books, earning her a well-deserved spot at full-forward on the 2025 TG4 All-Star team. As she takes the captain's armband for 2026, Síofra embodies the spirit of the game. Whether she’s leading the charge to retain Kerry’s League title or inspiring the next generation of players in her community.
Shauna Lynch - Cavan LGFA
Lidl is honoured to back Cavan’s captain Shauna Lynch as an LGFA Ambassador for 2026. A powerhouse on the pitch, Shauna was instrumental in Cavan’s clinical victory over Wexford in the 2025 Division 3 final, securing their rightful place in Division 2. Shauna represents the grit and ambition of Cavan football. Having led her side with distinction as captain in 2025, she continues her leadership role as captain for the 2026 season.
Nicola Ward - Galway LGFA
Nicola Ward is a premier defender for Galway and the reigning 2024 LGFA Senior Players' Player of the Year, an honour voted on by her peers. A cornerstone of both her county and club, the Kilkerrin-Clonberne star made history in late 2025 by leading her side to an incredible fifth consecutive All-Ireland Senior Club title. A multi-time All-Star, Ward is widely regarded as one of the most athletic and influential centre-backs in the game today.
