Experiment No. 497-040: The E-Mountain Bike

In the second episode of THE EXTREME LAB, the experiment revolves around whether a CRIVIT E-Mountain Bike can handle increasingly demanding riding conditions – and whether the rider can too.

At THE EXTREME LAB, performance is never taken for granted. It’s scrutinised. For this experiment, the CRIVIT E-Mountain Bike was taken up steep climbs, across challenging terrain, and through weather that seemed determined to be part of the test. Especially for the rider.

Using a highly sophisticated testing procedure, our experts assessed the bike's traction, control, and endurance under a variety of demanding conditions. Gradients were measured. Variables were monitored. Scientific terms were used liberally.

As the experiment progressed, one observation became increasingly hard to ignore: while the rider seemed to expend more energy with every climb, the bike remained remarkably composed.

After a comprehensive evaluation of the results, the conclusion was clear: EXPERIMENT PASSED.

The featured CRIVIT PEAK 709 E-Mountain Bike is designed for riders who love steep climbs, challenging terrain, and long days out in nature on their adventures.

At the heart of the bike is a powerful Mivice X700 mid-drive motor, delivering up to 100 Nm of torque for smooth, reliable assistance when the trail gets tough. Paired with a high-capacity 709 Wh battery, the PEAK 709 is built for extended tours and long-lasting performance, letting riders spend more time exploring and less time worrying about range.

To ensure confidence across varied terrain, the bike combines a Shimano CUES drivetrain with 180mm hydraulic disc brakes, offering precise shifting, dependable control, and reliable stopping power in changing conditions. A robust hardtail frame and a 120mm suspension fork from SR Suntour add even more comfort and stability—whether tackling steep ascents, navigating uneven trails, or descending on challenging ground.

Designed for riders who want capability, endurance, and control in one package, the PEAK 709 is ready for demanding outdoor adventures.
