Usage analysis and personalized advertising 

Purposes of data processing / legal basis:

With your consent, we create and process pseudonymised usage profiles for the following purposes:

•    Optimization of our services and app functions; 
•    Improvement of our offering and marketing of our products via (advertising) campaigns; 
•    Display of interest-based advertisements (e.g. via push notifications and advertising banners on third-party services).

The following types of personal data are processed:

•    Name of the mobile device from which you start our app, 
•    Identity of your device for recognition, consisting of 
o    time of access;
o    country and language;
o    local settings; 
o    Operating system and version as well as app version.
•    browser type / version; 
•    HTTP headers; 
•    IP or MAC address in anonymous form; 
•    mobile session ID;
•    Apple IDFA or Google GAID (identification number of the iOS or Android operating systems for advertising purposes, which can be reset or deactivated at any time via the operating system); 
•    time of the server request; 
•    Installation and event data linked to our services, and in particular:
o    which areas of the app / website you are in; and 
o    what actions you take there. App- and Event-Token.
•    App- and Event-Token; 
•    Push Notification-Token.

The legal basis for the processing described above is your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You can revoke your consent at any time under "Legal Notices / Tracking" in the app menu. 

This app also uses the "Google Signals" function to add statistical reports created with Google products to a cross-device analysis of visitor flows. Google Signals is only applies to users who are logged into a Google account during their session and have activated the "personalized advertising" function in their Google account. Through Google signals, we do not receive any in-depth information about specific individuals or ways to uniquely identify you or the device you are using. If you would like to deactivate this function for yourself, you can adjust this setting in your Google account. Recipients / Categories of Recipients:

We use specialized service providers in the area of online marketing to process usage data. These providers process your data on our behalf as processors and are each carefully selected and contractually obliged in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.

In addition to us, Criteo SA, 32 Rue Blanche, 75009 Paris, France (Criteo), is jointly responsible for the display of interest-based advertising campaigns in accordance with Article 26 GDPR. As part of our cooperation with Criteo, we use special technologies from Criteo in our app with your consent so that Criteo can record your surfing behavior and display advertising tailored to you. Criteo creates advertisements and decides which advertisements are displayed on which websites or platforms. Further information on this data processing can also be found in Criteo's privacy policy. As part of our cooperation with Facebook, data collected by our app is passed on to Facebook. In addition to us, Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland (Facebook), is jointly responsible for the data processing taking place in this context according to Article 26 GDPR. The agreement on which the cooperation with Facebook is based can be found here. Data about your use of our app is collected and compared with data from Facebook in order to show you advertising tailored to you on Facebook websites and apps, as well as Facebook partner companies. Facebook also uses this data for its own advertising purposes and for third-party advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook data policy. There you will also find further information on how you can assert your rights with regard to your data processed by Facebook. 

As part of our cooperation with Google LLC, data is stored and processed on servers in the USA.

Storage Period / Criteria for Determining the Storage Period:

Your personal data will be processed anonymously, if possible, depending on the purpose. After anonymization, it will no longer be possible to identify you personally. Incidentally, the above data will not be stored in any event for longer than 26 months.
