Welcome to the August update of Lidl’s largest ever property project in Ireland, Newbridge distribution centre. Going forward we will give a preview of what you can expect to see on-site each month. If you wish to receive these updates by email you can register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are pleased to confirm that a contractor has been appointed to complete the first phase of the Newbridge Southern Orbital Relief Road. As this will become a public road, contracts and approvals are required from Kildare Co. Roads. These are currently being finalised and we are hopeful that road construction would then commence in late September. We will provide a further once timelines have been confirmed.
We have also been busy procuring a contractor to commence with the first phase of construction works on our Distribution Centre Site. We are delighted to announce that John Paul Construction, an Irish firm based in Dublin, have been awarded this contract and are beginning their site set up.
The first phase of the project will involve the preparation of the ground in advance of the warehouse construction. We anticipate this preparatory work will take up until November when the actual warehouse construction will commence. This contract is currently being tendered out and we will inform you regarding the outcome in due course.
We would like to sincerely thank all the local community and residents for their positive engagement throughout the process to date. Both Lidl and our contracted partners remain committed to keeping the community updated throughout all parts of this process.
